A local man is sitting in front of the general store.

A new guy who just moved to town introduces himself.

He asks the native, "What are the people like here?"

The local asks in return, "What were the people like where you came from?"

"They were dirty rotten SOBs."

The native replied, "I guess you'll find them pretty much the same here."


The same day, a second new guy comes up to our local friend and asks, "What are the people like here?"

He asks back, "What were the people like where you came from?"

"Oh, they were the most loving, graceful, joyful folks!"

"I guess you'll find them pretty much the same here!"
